Queensland Police shoot man in his 20s after alleged altercation

BREAKING: Queensland Police have shot a man in his 20s following an incident at a private residence south of Brisbane.


A spokesman for Queensland Police confirmed officers were on the scene when an incident occurred at a private residence.

A spokesman for Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed a man in his 20s had been transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition and was treated for a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The shooting occurred around 2.30pm

9 News reports the man lunged at officers with a knife, forcing them to shoot him.
