EastEnders news: Zsa Zsa Carter looks VERY different as she's tipped for return

EASTENDERS could see yet another Carter return to the BBC One soap as one actress looks dead set for a comeback, but she looks a lot different now.

Rumours have been swirling that actress Emer Kenny will be bringing back Zsa Zsa Carter to BBC soap EastEnders.

However, nowadays the 28-year-old looks very different from her heyday as one of the Carter clan.

In a retro snap shared to Instagram, the actress can be seen sporting some bright red lipstick and a headscarf looking worlds away from blue-haired tearaway Zsa Zsa.

There is a reason behind her transformation however, as the photo was taken of her in costume for her role as Penelope “Bunty” Windermere in BBC period drama Father Brown.

She featured on the show in the reoccurring role throughout series five, which aired in 2017.

Emer joined the EastEnders’ cast as Tina Carter’s (played by Luisa Bradshaw-White) estranged daughter back in 2010 before leaving in the same year.

She also appeared in the show’s online spin-off EastEnders: E20.

During her time spent on the show, Zsa Zsa gained a reputation for her rebellious nature before setting off for France in a van.

However, she could be about to make a shocking return in an upcoming storyline.

Recent developments for Tina in upcoming episodes could signal a return for the prodigal daughter.

Georgi (Holly Donovan), a friend of Zsa Zsa's, will soon turn up in Walford, pregnant and asking for money from Shirley Carter (Linda Henry).

When the newcomer realises that Tina is her pal’s mother, she is given a tongue lashing.

Tina is upset that her daughter would send a friend to Shirley for help instead of herself, and is forced to asses her role as a mother when she’s given a few home truths.

To compensate, Tina will go out of her way to help Georgi repair her relationship with her own mother.

Although, viewers will have to wait and see whether Zsa Zsa reappears in the Square herself.

EastEnders continues tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
