Nokia 8 has started updating to the Android 8.1 Oreo, the very latest version of the operating system. The update has been announced by Juho Sarvikas, who is the CPO of HMD Global, via a post on Twitter. The rollout will reach the global version of the handset as well as its Plus version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
If you still did not receive the notification on your handset, you will probably get it in the next few days as the rollout is gradual. We cannot say that this Android 8.1 Oreo is a major update of the operating system, but at the same time, it is not a minor update either, as it includes important improvements. In this new version, you will find the additional notification showing the remaining battery percent of the devices connected via Bluetooth, both in the settings and in the quick toggles.
The power menu has been re-designed on the Nokia 8 with a more clear look, as well as the navigation bar. A research bar has been added in the settings and there are also some improvements to the notifications and the backup feature. These are only the most important improvements among all the ones that it is possible to find in the change log.

ZTE Axon 9 Images, Specifications Leaked; Launch Nearing? - Gizmochina
One of the things that made the axon 7 great was the audio experience, and now it feels like ZTE has abandoned that just to be yet another phone company just following trends and making their phones like other phones. I mean seriously how do you go from a phone with dual front facing speaks, everyone loves it, and then be like let's give them speakers on the back next time.

Xiaomi Deletes Twitter Poll After MIUI Loses To Android One - Gizmochina
Actually I loved MIUI I have a pixel XL and the features and lay out of MIUI in 9.2.2 were amazing I was using a Redmi note 4x as my pixel xl died after less than a year thank goodness I splurged on extended warranty! My lg g5 only lasted a year also. No water damage etc just parts failed. I had bought the redmi note 4x for my son so it arrived the day after my phone died. Since his was working still I used his new one. Honestly to me it was what phones should be. Google crows about pure android on there phones but they have locked the Google bar at the bottom of the page! In the way and can move or delete can't put Yahoo or Bing there. How is that a pure android. I wish I could put MIUI on my Pixel XL with all its features! They solved the overlay malware problem blocking all overlays unless u the user allow the program to overlay. Talk about inovative But I guess if you don't have something some times the grass is greener on the otherside. I did note Google Play store does block some programs on the MIUI claiming they are not compatible - mostly BS I side loaded a bunch and they worked perfectly! So I could see this as a reason why users would want the so called pure android. But I guess the Google overlords don't want people to have things they don't control sometimes.
