MULTIPLE police and ambulance crews rushed to an Earlville home tonight following reports that a number of people had been stabbed.

Two men and a woman were transported to Cairns Hospital with wounds to their upper body.

Acting Senior Sergeant Steve Heemi said police received an emergency call about 7pm and crews were sent to a home on De Jarlais street after reports of a multiple stabbing.

“I can confirm that we have three people have been subject to stab wounds,” Snr Sgt Heemi said.

“We’ve got detectives, specialist services, scenes of crime and emergency services on scene.”

A Queensland Ambulance Spokesman said one man had wounds to the top of his head, a second man had a cut to the left side of his neck and a woman had a cut to her face.

At least four police crews including the Criminal Investigation Branch and Scenes of Crime as well as three Queensland Ambulance Service crews were on scene.

“We’re treating it as a serious incident,” Snr Sgt Heemi said.
