He’ll certainly be on the naughty list this year

Incredible CCTV footage has captured the moment a man in a Santa hat and beard allegedly carried out a robbery and arson attack in Sydney.

You better watch out. You better not cry, because Sydney has its very own “bad Santa”, and cops want to speak to him about an alleged case of robbery and arson.

Spectacular footage released by NSW Police this afternoon shows a mystery man donning a festive hat and beard allegedly pouring accelerant around a business in Sydney’s inner west and setting fire to it.

Police allege that he walked into the rear entrance of a business on Sparkes St, Camperdown, carrying two large plastic drums on Christmas Day, 2016.

They also claim he stole a number of items and some cash before using accelerant to set the premises alight.

“The man then fled on foot on Sparkes Street, Camperdown towards Arundel Street, Forest Lodge,” NSW Police said in a statement.

“A crime scene was established by officers from Leichhardt Police Area Command and an investigation was launched.”
